Maintenance Saturday is held on the second Saturday of every month, available to feline clients on 8 week or less grooming schedules, and those who receive a “Mani-Pedi Only” service. Reservations may be made by emailing grooming@felinepurfection.com for availability.

It is required for ALL cats to be securely placed in a pet carrier before beginning their appointment. On average, most spa sessions are between 1-1.5hrs. Some cats may require additional breaks as needed to ensure their comfort and keep potential stress levels down. Nail Trim appointments are also by appointment only and take 5-10min. For full spa services, you will receive a text/call 15min. prior to finishing. We ask that you please pick up your cat at the designated pick up time to maintain a quiet “one on one” environment, before the next client arrives.

  • For the safety of your pet and our staff, Feline Purfection requires your pet to be fully up-to-date on their rabies vaccination. Please do not make an appointment until you have verified your pet is up-to-date by the appointment date. You will be asked to attach a copy of vaccination records to your appointment request. If your veterinarian has deemed it unnecessary for your pet to be vaccinated, a doctor’s note will be required to proceed with booking.

If your pet is showing any signs of illness or injury, is pregnant or in season, please do not book an appointment, as the session will be cancelled and charged full price. When kittens have received their first set of shots, they will then be ready to begin their first grooming session. Senior cats of all ages are welcome. Please specify when scheduling your appointment, any medical or health concerns your pet may have, as this may affect the grooming process and needs of your pet.

    • Day Of- 10-15min before leaving your home, secure your cat in the bathroom with some enticing treats and pets. Retrieve the carrier AFTER.

    • Carefully placing your cat in the carrier hind end first, is helpful to ensure they don’t put the brakes on. If your cat is familiar and comfortable with their carrier, entice them with some treats to walk in.

  • It is important to know the signs of an aggressive cat: Hissing, Growling, and Biting.

Often cats do better than expected for the experience when working with a professional, trained on how to handle cats during the groom process. In some cases, we may advise a mild sedation from your vet if we feel this may help them to relax during the grooming process. If your cat is still very aggressive with a mild sedation, they will need to be groomed at a veterinary office, as they likely require heavier sedation.

  • We do Not administer sedation. If you feel your cat may need a sedative to help with anxiety issues, we recommend receiving a prescription from your vet. All medication must be administered by pet guardian or veterinarian 90min. prior to grooming. We highly recommend testing the medication on your kitty prior to your appointment date to ensure they do not have a negative reaction.

  • Feline Purfection recommends grooming every 4-12 weeks, depending on the breed and skin condition, to maintain healthy skin and coat.

Longer haired cats such as Maine Coons and Persians are recommended every 4 weeks to remove all excess oils that cause matting. It important to remove the excess oils, dead skin, and dander that has accumulated to maintain healthy skin, a vibrant coat, and overall health.

If you are interested in a De-Shed, we recommend every 4 weeks to maintain control of shedding. This is a great alternative to shaving. Lion Cut maintenance is recommended every 12 weeks.
